First landing for Levorato Marcevaggi in United Kingdom

Levorato Marcevaggi is present and operational since January at London Stansted airport. It is the first time that an Italian company provide into-plane services in a British airport. An important step for an increasingly international reality.

Levorato Marcevaggi is proud to announce that since January 2022 it has been present and operational at London Stansted Airport through its subsidiary Stansted Intoplane Company Limited.

The Italian company – active in the aviation sector since 2010 both in various Italian airports such as Malpensa, Linate, Bergamo, Venice, Turin, Fiumicino, Naples, Treviso and in important European airports such as Vienna, Prague and Brussels – has acquired the London-based SICO, founded in 1991 under the name of Stansted Fueling Company, a company dedicated exclusively to into-plane services of JET-FUEL to aircrafts.

The company was founded in 1991 as a joint venture between Kuwait Petroleum International Aviation Company (U.K.) Limited, BP International Limited, TotalEnergies Marketing UK Limited, Valero Energy UK Ltd and Vitol Aviation B.V..

Today SICO is one of the into-plane companies present at Stansted airport characterized by the prevalent presence of low-cost carriers, but also long-haul routes – between Hong Kong, Dubai and the USA – as well as a lofty number of passengers: in 2019 this threshold even reached and exceeded the quota of 30 million people boarded.

An important step and a strategic choice that makes LM more and more international. For the first time in its history active in the United Kingdom, with this acquisition LM also becomes the first Italian company operating in the into-plane sector in a British airport.
